This dedicated online time together will be packed with amazing information about how to inspire your people about Stewardship. You will learn the difference between “fund raising” and “stewardship” and how to define actual stewardship from scarcity culture. 

We will share modern ways to connect with our people - you will experience resources as tools you can approach and use easily.

Join Jane Harding for a four-session, 'hands on' discussion about Whole Life Stewardship that will take us into the next decade, and find out what those 6 steps are. Stewardship Buzz Online Engagement Session is a practical, faith-filled opportunity to learn from the experts as well as each other and to stack up those 'A-ha' moments in your favour! 

Duration

  • 4 bi-weekly online sessions: Tuesdays Sept 22, Oct 6, Oct 20, Nov 3

  • 1.5 hours per online session: 10:30am-12noon

Jane Harding is the Regional Financial Development Officer for the United Church of Canada, serving the Pacific Mountain Regional Council. Her background and experience are diverse and is mostly in the non-profit charitable sectors in Canada. Jane's job with the United Church is to help congregations experience vitality, abundance and financial health. She works with congregations and local areas of the church by providing leadership, resources, practical and professional assistance through assessment, planning and implementation of Stewardship and Legacy programs. Jane also works with individuals who are inspired to leave a legacy to any area of the church, including their congregation.   

Jane is seen as an expert on revenue generation and stewardship in the PMRC.  She is a key resource to congregations embarking on capital campaigns, looking at operational finance as well as building reserve or endowment programs. Jane is the current chair of the PMRC Stewardship Team and the Pensions Committee. She also sits on PMRC's Finance Council and is an active member of the Association for Fund Raising Professionals, Volunteer Vancouver, and the Canadian Association of Gift Planners. 

Jane lives in Salmon Arm, BC. She has a grown up blended family of 6 -complete with eight grandchildren and a beagle X named Stella! Jane is the chair of the Leadership Team, and sings and worships at First United Church in Salmon Arm.
