Nurturing the Soul of the Preacher

Each week we come to a text or theme and sit with it, think about it, work with it, leave it alone, struggle with it, write it, and finally dare speaking.

Sometimes the words come easy. Sometimes they don’t.  We live by words.  And each week we start over, again and again.

In our online time together, we try out spiritual practices, ancient and new, that ground us, offer creative ways to spark imagination, and nurture contemplative insight into sacred texts, and support letting it all go to begin again.

Join Janice MacLean for a six session online engagement of building connection, resilience and practices of care in a small group of other ministers who work in rural or remote communities.

• 6 weekly online sessions: Tuesdays April 14, April 21, April 28, May 5, May 12, May 19

• 1.5 hours per online session: 10:30am-12noon

• Janice MacLean

Janice MacLean is host of the Prayer Bench, an online ministry offering resources to deepen spirituality. She actually has a wooden prayer bench she took home from Scotland in a backpack. Over a life-time, Janice is grateful for many experiences that she now carries in her heart. Each one worked to broaden and deepen her spirituality. Janice is also in part-time ministry with Trinity United Church in Riverview. NB. Her passion in ministry is rooted in sharing the contemplative wisdom tradition. Janice lives in Riverview with her partner.
